Real Estate Workshop for Senior Citizens
At age 50, you are eligible to join
AARP. At age 55, you can get a senior discount at many restaurants.
Actually, relatively healthy Senior Citizens maintain a continuous level
of activity until they become seriously ill. While taking advantage of
Senior Citizen discounts, you are most likely enjoying life now than any
other previous time. If you are planning to stay in your home, thinking
about making a move, or if you are concerned about your future real
estate needs, this workshop is an excellent place to start.
If you are desirous of staying in your home, you will make physical
adaptations as you age. You may also want to explore the pros and cons
of a reverse mortgage and various ways of holding title.
If you plan to move, where, when and why should you move? What are the
benefits (tax and other wise) and negative aspects of moving? Regardless
of whether you stay in your home or decide to move, this workshop will
provide options and help you answer questions. Perhaps new questions
will arise as a result of participating in this timely workshop.
If your adult children participate in your decision-making, encourage
them to join you. If you are 60+, don’t forget to ask for your Senior
Discount at Harbor College Extension when you register.
